Sunil Vallu’s research is addressed to a critical view on social, political and cultural issues with respect to the technology and its use in everyday life. Then focusing on critical design and technological artefacts, his work combines elements such as aesthetics of interaction, visual, and sculptural in order to create unique, yet meaningful artefacts. This attitude towards critical design pushes the artist to challenge his own ideologies across widespread contexts, cultures and mind-sets, and trying continuously to question and challenge technology and daily living experiences through artefacts. Therefore, as an emerging new media artist-cum-industrial designer, Vallu is deeply interested in understanding and reflecting upon our today’s technological mediated lives, embedding at the same time meaning and aesthetics into everyday lives through the medium of art.
